The Founding Families
Every Home Has a Story
The Faireborough at Shiney Rock has been part of the Wilson family for five generations. Originally purchased in the 1920s by Sam and Lula Wilson, the land began as a working tobacco farm. In 2001, it was passed down to our father, Retired Colonel Donald G. Wilson, whose service took him to Vietnam, Korea, Germany, and West Point. Today, it has been entrusted to us. My sisters and I hope to share this special place with others by creating Faireborough—a thoughtfully designed retreat rooted in history, nature, and a sense of magic and wonder.
